I was really surprised to read such a scathing review of a party at Funsters. I recently attended my nephews party at the play gym and could not have had a more different experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and although rushed off their feet smiling and chatty. I am no stranger to play gyms as my own kids range from fourteen to eight and I visit numerous places with my nephews. The party host was enthusiastic and went out of her way to make sure all the kids joined in the games. My nephew was made to feel really special. I understand that there may be a quick change over time from one party to the next, but we did not feel rushed out at all. The length of the party and other issues were all mentioned when we booked the party. I would recommend Funsters to anyone thinking of booking a party.

I am making comment based on being a guest, i was invited to attend a child's 3rd birthday and feel compelled to comment on my experiance whilst being at this establishment.
I feel like the whole party was a total sham and can honestly say i felt embarrassed for the host of the party due to the way in which they made everyone feel, from entering the building they laid down the law about only being able to consume food bought from yourselves (why was this necessary when no one even tried to eat food not purchased from them?) we were then shoe horned into a tiny cupboard meaning most of the people had to sit the party bit out, we were given 20 minutes to consume all the food then were told to leave (this isnt nearly enough time especially considering these were such young children all under 4 years old, we were then told that we couldn't play pass the parcel as our time was up (1 and half hours from start to finish) then when we were waiting for a taxi to collect us we were ushered out of the reception area and made to wait outside in the cold with a 5 week old baby?? i found all this to be very rude and uncaring treating us as monetary assets as appose to human beings.
I feel the reason for this was to have a good turn around to get people in and out asap but in doing this you are ruining a chance of repeat custom, i see that a leaflet was put into the cake bags (minus any cake?) why this was i dont know because the chances of anyone attending that party re-booking would be zilch, i would never ever consider either visiting or having any parties at this establishment as the whole experiance has left a sour taste in my mouth and i can honestly say i feel very embarrassed for the person who invited me to the party.
I think you may have to research how other similar establishments such as Brewster's, Alphabet Zoo and Jimmy J's treat customers and the value you get from them if they are to stand any chance of competing.

I'm sorry, but i can only think that whomever wrote the other reviews is in some way affiliated with the centre because the staff there are some of the most unfriendliest i have ever encountered and i have visited a LOT of these places, gustapo is being mild! I found it okay for a visist but on holding a party there for my 3 year old son i found them most unfriendly, lots of rules, no leeway, about £3 worth of party food between 12 kids, wouldn't let me cut my own cake said i had to buy theirs from the cafe, didn't provide enough tables, wouldn't let us do our pass the parcel and told us to get our stuff and make our way to the entrance as soon as the kids had finished their food, managed to persuade them to let my son unwrap his presents 1st but didn't have time to do his cards as we were ushered out there door so fast i didn't say goodbye to anybody as i was getting all my son's stuff together and wouldn't mind but place was empty not full, told us to get out of the entranceway as we were blocking it up, i cannot possibly list all the problems here and trust me what i've listed is the tip of the iceberg but i can tell you that i was certainly not the only one to feel like that, it is like one big money making machine at £7 per head as you get nothing for your money, the kids didn't even get party hats or blowers or colouring in sheets for that, they got 3 quids worth of food between them, a dangerous sword for the birthday boy and a balloon...really not worth it! they even told my friend she couldn't feed her baby her own baby food that she had to buy there's - which of course we refused seen as how i'd paid for his place at the party despite him not eating any of the food, they tried to squeeze every penny out of us. Please think twice before booking here for a party, the only good point is that the place is immaculately clean, which is why i picked it in the 1st place! I also can't help noticing how all the comments are from when the place 1st opened..could that be because the place has gone right down hill of late?...just a thought!

I am a childminder from Morley, so I have many play centres nearer to me than Funsters but it's always well worth the trip. The staff are lovely, it's by far the cleanest play centre I've ever been in, and the equipment is safe, stimulating, varied and lots of fun. The food is excellent quality and good value. Toilet facilities are spacious, spotlessly clean, and bright, with nice touches like the fish mobile hanging over the changing station which always keeps my younger charges occupied, and still, whilst being changed. Overall, Funsters is extremely well run by the owners who work hard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of their customers. Highly recommended.

My three children absolutely love Funsters. The staffare very friendly and welcoming. We have been so many times that the staff know my children individually and will always say hello and have a little chat with them. The food is excellent and very good value for money. Definately worth a visit.

This has to be the BEST play gym in West Yorkshire. My 2 grandaughters 5 and 3 love it. The place is light and airy and very clean. The staff are really friendly and the food suberb with lots of healthy options. My grandaughter had her birthday there and the party room was fab. The party games the staff organised were excellent. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. The girls always make friends there and getting them out is a challenge on its own! One other thing, they don't throw you out after 2 hours like other gyms do. Excellent all round.

Whoever says gastapo needs there heads read, the staff are very friendly and the parties they throw are the best that I have seen at numerous playgyms around west yorkshire. The centre is well worth a visit, each time I go they have something new, like the new and improved baby area, idea for keeping them busy body five year olds out!!! My 5 year old child enjoys the slides and ball pool, and the Tuna/cheese melts...lovely.

Lots of rules to obey, lots of sweets on display which I don't find helpful, and the baby area is fenced off like an animal enclosure. But apart from that good clean older toddler area, nice staff.
Some good original toys - which makes a nice change.

My older children aged 3 and 5 really enjoyed Funsters and wanted to know when we are going back! My 5 year old said she liked the slide "made for 2" and "making friends".The play area is big enough to keep the children occupied for the 2 hours but small enough so that you can always see where they are. It was clean and didn't smell! The food was good value and really tasty. Because of the windows in the roof it was also lovely and light-unlike other places I have been.It had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere; I felt relaxed about breastfeeding my baby while having our lunch. The staff were polite and attentive. We will definately visit again.

I visted Funsters for the first time today and have found a solution to my easter holiday problems. The play equipment is spacious and varied, they have a seperate area for my baby to play in with a selection of toys. The food was excellent and they serve a chioce for all appetites. The staff, although busy, were very friendly and my kids were impressed with the free sweets on departure from the centre. Highly Recommended.

This is the nicest indoor play area I have visited. It is extremely clean and bright with lots of room for children to play. The climbing frames are on 3 levels and children can easily be seen with slides, ball pool etc. Play house, prams, trikes etc plus othr toys for babies - something for everyone. The snack bar serves fresh food with lots of healthy options. There is disabled access, toilets and nappy changing facilities. I was able to use a separate room for breast feeding. The atmosphere was lovely and the owners were really nice and helpful. It came highly recomended for Birthday parties therefore I have booked my 3 year olds party in.
Excellent place to visit.
