I used to go to Freddies every week, but have stopped going now for several reasons:
# The layout makes it difficult to see where your little ones are if they move from one play area to the next.
# My little one has gotten into the foyer as there is no supervision of the door, and another parent obviously let him through.
# I found my son on the fire escape. The staff had left the door to upstairs open and he'd gone upstairs and through the kitchen and was walking down the firestairs outside when I found him in an utter panic. The previous problems have arisen by the difficulty in seeing where your children are at all times in the strange layout. Unless you physically tail a 3 year old around.
# Finally when I was there the food was great for adults but poor for kids. Unhealthy processed and reconstituted food like chicken teddies with chips. Adults could have fresh food, kids make do with frozen rubbish.
# My son was also pushed out of one of the ride on cars and fell head first onto a hard tiled floor. No accident book! And I took him home straight away as the fall obviously hurt him a lot, and he had a cracking bump on his head.
Lot of potential this place but was too much of a nightmare for me with an adventurous child who disappears when you blink!

I take my 6 month old to Freddies and she has a really good time however I would say that the level of staff supervision is disappointing. The toddler area is for 0-4's and there are obviously older kids playing and going in the ball pool.

The only other downside is that there is only a small soft play area for toddlers - the rest of the toddler area has play activities such as slides, activity centres etc but has a hard carpeted floor.

They do a good coffee and the staff are friendly and helpful. I'd recommend weekday mornings but I actually went at 2 on a Saturday the other day and it was nice and quiet for my baby to play.

Excellent place for toddlers (a special area with lots of little tikes slides, ride-ons, houses plus a ball pit) and another area for the older ones. Best time to go is during term time for the toddlers as it is quieter!! Also great cafe food provided including jacket pots, chips, hot drinks including cappucino, hot choc all at reasonable prices. Enterance is for how long you want it for (may be different at busy times). Friendly staff. Plenty of tables, chairs, high chairs and sofas to sit on.
