They are now closing all these breastfeeding rooms. It's very dissapointing and not at all encouraging breastfeeding.

Since May 2007, Mothercare have deemed it no longer necessary to have a separate nursing room from the baby change area hence the atmosphere has changed considerably. Previously it was a wonderful haven in which to feed your baby but now you are subjected to nappy smells and a toilet within the same area. Real shame.

Just like to say I agree entirely with the previous comments. Nursing Room was Five Star Luxury.

As a first time mother of a 2 week old baby, I am eternally grateful for the lovely nursing/breastfeeding room and baby changing facilities that Mothercare in Sutton provide.
There are changing beds at various heights, hand washing facilities, bottle warmers and benches for parents to sit on whilst feeding.
They also provide a separate nursing room with comfy chairs and a cold water machine. This room was my saviour when I needed to feed my baby for the first time in public, these facilities allowed me to feed the baby in privacy and gave me the confidence to go out on my own again.
If only all Mothercare branches had the same facilities!!!
