We ate at the Black Swan in 2007 and just recently August 2008. the meals on offer for kids were dull, and although they were fast at preparing the food, it was very mediocre.
The waitress was friendly, but the landlady looked at us as if we were going to 'wreck the joint!'Hardly a warm welcome at all.We were ushered into a corner, and not made to feel vety welcome at all.
We took a second chance, thinking we may have come on a busy/bad day, previously, but the hostess, and food were just as unappetising!

We took Lucy (almost two) to the Black Swan in Pickering. The children's menu is OK but a bit "... and chips" but they provided a high chair without being asked which was nice. There was no baby changing available, which was odd seeing as there was a children's menu and high chairs. Their only suggestion was that we changed her on the floor of the ladies' toilet!
Not recommended for people with kids; the food for adults was OK, but if we were going to Pickering again, we'd try somewhere else.
