I had heard only good things about Bicton Park... and now that I have been there I have to say it was one of the nicest days out I have ever had. The place is incredible... its nice and big, you can wonder round at your own pace, or save your legs and catch a train around the grounds (although there is an additional charge for this - it would be quite nice if this was covered in the entrance fee). The gardens are kept very well and it truly was a great day... you need the weather to be good though!! My daughter (20 months) loved it... and slept all the way home in the car!
My only critisism is that the indoor play area smelt funny (to me it smelt like wee), there were no staff around, and the place was very dirty. But when the weather is good, there really is no reason to even venture into this bit.
The food on offer in the cafe was very tasty... and the sort of prices you'd expect. The food came quickly and staff were friendly.
Top tip would be to take a picnic and find a lovely quiet part of one of the gardens to enjoy it in!
We're sure to go back. Very nice day out...
