Both terminals at Gatwick have play areas on the lower levels of the international departure lounges, kitted out with Babylandings soft play and Fingerbox play tables. There is also a children’s play area before security, in the Gatwick Village shopping area, on the first floor of South Terminal.
Specially equipped rooms for feeding and changing babies are indicated by either a bottle sign or a baby care symbol. Changing facilities are provided in the check-in area, en route to the gates, in the transfer area and after passport control in Arrivals. There are also fold-down tables provided in some male and female toilets.
Driving Directions:

Car hire is available from the airport.
Getting There By Rail:
The Gatwick Express runs trains every 15 minutes to and from London Victoria. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Thameslink also runs train services from the City, Bedford and Brighton to Gatwick, 4 trains run every hour. South Central runs services from Watford and London Victoria, these run every 15 minutes at peak times. All trains come into the South Terminal, but there is a free Inter Terminal Transit train every 3 minutes (journey time 2 minutes).
Getting There By Bus:
Gatwick Airport is well connected by National Express coach services to the rest of the UK. Speedlink links Gatwick and Heathrow, Jetlink links Northampton, Milton Keynes, Brighton, and East Anglia. Most of these services terminate at the South Terminal, and the transit train runs between the 2 terminals.

Gatwick North Terminal:-
Lots of soft play areas scattered around the depature lounges after you go through passport control – they had a huge area with easels and pens and paper, bead toys, soft airplanes etc. Even when you go to the lounge just before you get on the plane they had a soft play area and bead games. Was very impressed. A great improvement.
Gatwick South Terminal:-
They have a small soft play area for 3 – 8 year olds tucked away in a corner of the Village in the South Terminal before you go through passport control to depatures lounge which is quite good.
Can't comment on baby changing facilities as we didn't need to make use of them.

They have adequate baby-changing facilities in toilets (all signed). They also have nursing areas and the pushchair access is pretty good.
The restaurants all pretty much as far as I could see offer highchairs. Just wish they had more play facilities to keep the children more occupied.
