We went to Animal Farm Adventure Park at the end of the summer, and have waited until now to post a review as giving the benefit of the doubt some friends of ours have recently gone so wanted to them to confirm or correct our judgements. Well they confirmed.
When we went in the summer we paid the summer hols price of £26 for a family of four and luckily our youngest was just under two or that would have been another £6.50.
Firstly, the food was a complete rip off, especially for the quality of the food you are EVENTUALLY given. The quantity was fine, but whats the point in having a lot of chips if they are stone cold. There is also not enough healthy options for children for hot food. I would rather quality myself, just like quality of dining, eating in the dark cafe was not exactly atmospheric and the play barn looked too busy to eat in there. Although my friends have recently gone so it is not busy, they said food was just as slow to be made.
The tractor ride they have which goes around a track was being manned by a poor young girl who tried her best to be cheery despite obviously being fed up of the ride, she had no shelter or seating so cant blame her. The ride itself is free, but thats because theres nothing to see on it, no tunnels or scenery just a track, so i thought it wasnt finished but friends have confirmed it is still the same months on but without the poor soul stood there.
All the staff in the cafe and in the play area looked rushed off their feet and overworked as did the few cleaning the animals out,. This would explain the lack of toilet paper and skid marked toilets.
We had food to feed the animals which the kids liked, although more attention could be given to them as they looked a little unkempt as did the grass and area around them.
The impression was that there were more games, play areas and machines that make you spend yet more money instead of more animals and facilities for the animals, and than quality of catering. We came to see the animals and farm life and be outside not have the kids play the same slot machines they did the night before at the arcade. Needless to say we refused the kids our change.
On leaving we allowed a brief look around the shop but the price of toys was again far too much, and there wasn't much farm stuff more tack that again wouldnt look out of place in an arcade or tacky seaside shop.
Friends say that since it has been painted in some places but otherwise no change, its a ghost town.
I would save the money and not go again.

I took my niece to Animal Farm on Sunday and having been there many years ago i thought it would be fun for my niece.
Well i looked on there website and it all looked the same Pony Rides, Tractor Rides (around the farm), Land Train, Activetys such as coloring, ball shooting and animals such as owls etc, i knew my niece would love this, well when we got there we payed an extortionate price to get into the park, it was much cheaper years ago, and for what nothing that was advertised on the website i and my niece was very disappointed, my niece is 9 years old and the only thing that she really enjoyed was the indoor play area and cuddle club.
There are no longer anything that i mentioned above but a few pony's, pigs, ducks, chickens etc.... stuff i could have seen at my local city farm for FREE and a tractor that goes around a track. For the price of this i thought it was absolutely a waste of money, the park was also very run down, like you could tell no money was spent into the upkeep of the park such as a simple shelter for the horse!!!!
We went into cuddle club and thought that this was the best part of day, the staff were really helpful, friendly and the young lad was very knowledgeable of the animals, the only downside again it was rabbits and guinea pigs that children are most likely to have a pet of and thought a better variety of animals would make it much more fun and interesting for the youngsters.
The manager who owned Animal farm a couple of years ago did a much better job at running this park then the owner now, he had a passion for the farm (having met him personally), the owner now is letting it run into the ground, before long the park will most likely close down due to a lack of repeat customers.

All I can say is .... you'd be better off throwing your £26 down the nearest drain!! Very rude and agressive Manageress, place is dirty and run down, with birds messing on the tables by the 'burger van' catering facility. I really couldn't see anything that came close to justifying the extortionate admission prices. Where the admission fees go I really don't know.

Dirty, smelly animals. One horse was wading in mud and was soaking wet with no shelter.
My son was ill after we had visited and i wonder if it was anything to do with this dirty place!

Having visited Animal Farm frequently with my older children I was looking forward to a return visit with my two year old with her toddler group. It's really changed ... but not for better! Everything looks slightly run down, the entrance prices are extortionate for what is there, the land train is not running, there are tacky slot machines replacing what used to be the ball cannons area and the play barn smells like a tacky burger van with the new eating facility and birds were flying through this van part so not very hygienic. Not enough to keep toddlers occupied as they wanted to go on the rides - at £1 a time! All the larger animals (mainly sheep, goats and a couple of horses) were at the far end in fields and so it was not easy to persuade the toddlers to venture very far. Will certainly not be visiting again in a hurry - although I used to have season tickets with my older children. Handwashing facilities not as clean and child-friendly as used to be as now have air dryers and no paper towels ... of course the small children hate the noise of these. Staff seem more off hand too.

Disappointing. Not enough animals for the entry fee. It was just some sheep and goats, a few fowl and one or two rabbits/guinea pigs. The indoor play area was good but a decent play area would normally come in cheaper than £26 for 2 adults and 2 children. Everything looked a little bit rough and ready and needed some tlc. Staff were friendly and the food was pretty good for the money.

Probably the biggest rip-off attraction that I've ever had the misfortune to visit. £26 for 2 adults and 2 children but after entering nearly all the rides demanded extra money. Animals were a couple of cows,2 horses and a few ferrets. You pass more animals on the way to the park from Brean.
Huge disappointment, even the kids who were aged 8 and 6 noticed it was a huge con.

I have a 6 month old and a 2 year old, and this was an easy place to visit. Free car parking. All on one level so no stairs to climb!! Lots of farm animals to see and play with, a massive outside play park with trampolines, pedal tractors etc. Big indoor soft area for toddlers and seperate slides for older children where you can bring your own food and watch your children play in the safe play area. So no added expense to pay, or pay for food in the restaurant. Very educational and fun for parents with children of different ages. Visit www.animal-farm.co.uk My 2 year old loved it and have been back 3 times this summer already!! The staff were very friendly to the children, nappy changing facilities in the toilets, and heated up my baby's milk with no problems.
