The central courtyard here used to be a car park but a few years ago was turned into a huge fountain area with dancing fountains. (in winter it turns into an ice rink for a few weeks) We were in this area visiting when it was a hot day (yes we actually had a day of summer!!!) so made the most of it. The children stripped off to their swimming gear and had a fantastic time running in and out of the fountains (not sure if you’re meant to do this but hey we didn’t get told off). There is a lot of other stuff to visit around here (museum etc) but be a bit boring for the children.
