Reviews and details of facilities:

Our 3 1/2 year old has loved Moors valley through all seasons of the past 12 months: play trail and play areas all times of the year, the grassy picnic area by the lake for summer pipcnics and running off that excess energy, and the train ride for a special treat. Satisfactory baby changing facilities for smaller ones.

As a family we have enjoyed Moors Valley for the last 5 years. My children are 7, 5 and 1 and always enjoy the play trail which is pushchair friendly.
When our friends from Essex visit with their kids, they always want to go to Moors Valley for the train ride, play trail and playground. When the weather is good we always take a picnic, and make a day of it, not forgetting the obligatory ice cream before going home. (In the winter, a mug of hot chocolate in the restaurant hits the spot!)
Don't forget to purchase your yearly parking ticket, it will save you a fortune.

Fantastic place to visit for the day out. There is an Adventure Play Area for older children and a special Castle and Sand Area for toddlers. There is also a narrow-gauge steam railway that will take you on a mile long journey through the park which our two children enjoyed (3 and 10). Our 10 year old enjoyed going on the high wire adventure course. The forest has a play trail within it with things like the spiders web, giant ants, snakes and ladders, crocidile crossing etc. Lots of fun had by all and great place for picnics as well. highly recommended.

An 18-hole golf course, meadows, small woodlands and the Crane Lake complete the Park area.

Heading out into the Forest there is the Play Trail with its 8 wooden play structures including the ‘Giant Ants’ Nest’, ‘Snakes and Ladders’ and the ‘Spiders Web’. There is also the opportunity to walk on the Tree Top Trail – a 200 metre wooden walkway through the tops of the trees. For the more adventurous there is the Go Ape high ropes; see below for more details.
