We took our son on this as he had loved the steam railway and thought he might also like this as something different but on the same theme!. He did think it was great but at the top said "More more" and it dosen't take that long to get to the top so he was a little frustrated by that but had the trip down to look forward to.
Once at the top there isn't much interest for a toddler apart from some cut out wooden animals that are stuck to fenches which he did enjoy looking at and making noises. There did used to be a little playground up here but it has since gone. There is a cafe that serves drinks and light snacks so we did get a milkshake. It would be great if they could just provide a decent play area up the top as the camera obscurer isn't really of interest to little ones either.
The railway is open from Mid March - Early November daily 10:00am - 5:00pm and it cost £2.50 each for adults both ways and was free for our son who is 23 months.
For the adults this is the longest electric cliff railway in Britain - and the only one in Wales and on a clear day you get absolutely fantastic views of the coast and surrounding area.
