Fantastic day out for all the family. Loads to explore in differnet zones, all colour coded to help you find your way around.
Does get very busy during holidays but is very large museum so plenty of space.
My son adored the dinosaur exhibition and creapy crawlies and the Earth hall was amazing. Plenty of hands on activities to play with. In terms of being family friendly there are were plenty of clean loos and baby change facilities. The queue to the cafe near the dinosaur exhibition was nice and airy and clean, however the queue was very long and could be quicker. If you don't fancy queuing there is also an inside picnic area.
Free entry so great value. (although they do charge for special exhibits inside e.g at present doing one on what the trex eats and wildlife photographer of the year)
