This is a VERY small aquarium which provides an insight into the marine life of Cardigan Bay. The tanks are tiny and to be honest probably a bit too small for the fish they are housing, especially for the triggerfish who looked miserable. It is also a shabby place, Ii visited about 10 years ago and in that time nothing appears to have changed or been upgraded. They do have an interesting video on dolphins and a very surreal basement sandpit!!! Very claustrophobic, and i would think a disaster if a fire broke out upstairs as there is no fire exit down there! Extremely overpriced when you compare what you pay for other attractions - its nearly a fiver for an adult. Under 4s free. This is in effect a very small room which you could walk around in 15 mins. Keeps children entertained for a few minutes but i think you would have more fun looking at the harbour. Don't waste your money, if you want to go to an aquarium go to a proper one! Didn't even see any toilets in here either. I suppose i ought to say one positive thing - they do provide worksheets for the children to fill in which are good.
The marketing blurb says:
"Find out about the fish you eat, life at sea and the future of fishing. A marine interpretation area looks at the features of the Heritage Coast and sites of special interest around the bay.
Find out what its like at sea with the large screen film show and see old Aberaeron with an exhibition of nineteenth century photographs. Access for wheelchair users."
