Reviews and details of facilities:

I was at the buzz, today 13th July 2010. I have to say the place is excellent and caters well for children of all ages.

The sensory rooms are so beautiful and relaxing. My 20 month son, loved the rooms.
It has been the best toddler area so far, and I have been to plenty.
There is more faciltities on offer, to a toddler instead of the usual ball pit and foam blocks.

The food was fantastic great sized portions, service, and price of the food was good.

I always read the reviews before going to a place, but always go on my own thoughts but have the reviews at the back of my mind.

I was yet to come across, one complaint. The place, toilets were clean, and not one complaint stood out for me.

I am definately going back, and definately recommend it, to all.

my daughter is 1 year old and she loved the sensory room in buzz! Was great value for money and they won't get pushed about by the older kids. It's a great way to stimulate their senses and gets you both out the house for a little while. Everyone who has used the sensory rooms have said that it was really good

Here are a few facts I have found out about the Buzz. Which should sort out all other complaints about this place.
I have read that people are complaining about lack of supervision on the Play Areas, this is because members of staff dont actually have to be there, there are signs that say children remain the responsibility of their parents or gardians at all times so if another child pushes them then where are the parents?
The Children getting pushed by Members of Staff doesnt sound right, I have watched children run through the gate at the karts pushing past the staff and staff having to try to stop the child hurting themselves or children who are que jumpers, I was watching my child on the cars when another child ran out of the car when it had stopped, but the other cars were still running and thankfully the member of staff quickly lifted the child up for safety, again where are these children's adults?
As for the complaints about the Laser zone, during the little talk before the game starts you are told rules of play, which include can you guess it? NO RUNNING! if a child gets hurt inside running this is not the staffs problem. rules are obviously there for a reason.
I will admit however that food during weekends can take a long time but everytime I have been there there are signs up sayins sorry for the wait on food.
Also I have never noticed a problem with any of the toilet facilities.
Some people just look for problems to benefit themselves or to cover there own problems.
Over All The Buzz is Great Fun!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!!! This place has really gone down hill in just a few months. I went at the weekend with my husband and two kids aged 2 1/2 and 7 first of all there were loads of older kids in the baby soft play my little girl was getting knocked over and staff were too busy talking to notice. We ordered our food waited ages for it it came and i cant believe im saying this i got a baked potato with no salad so they put CHIPS on my plate??? The food is not good the staff wander around looking glum and the baby changing disgusting. I will definetely not be back here ever. worst value for money.

Safety in laser area poor. My son had his 10th birthday party there and in the last few minutes of the laser section he ran into a sharp unfinished corner painted black. I've 2 boys and know accidents happen however they can be minimised. Having sharp edges not even highlighted in paint in an area where children as young as 6 and adults are running in near darkness is unacceptable. My son had an egg shaped lump and large cut on his head and though some staff were sympathetic and offered a cold pack that was it no other 1st aid offered. I was busy trying to comfort my son and keep the party going (which he couldn't take part in) while my husband insisted it be reported properly. I later found out that the man 'supervising' in the laser area told my husband he had injured himself several times on the edges. What could of been a great party was ruined by the accident and perhaps more by knowing it could easily been prevented - bashing in to a bit of foam wouldn't have given him any injuries. Although I hated son having birthday ruined I would have hated more having to give one of his friends back to their parents with possible concussion and visit to the hospital. We phoned several months later to see if problem had been dealt with and they said they'd painted it. Shall be reporting to council to see if they can make them make it safer.

AMAZING!

2 dads and 4 kids aged 7-11, what a laugh!

We had a great day, the facilities are spot on, lots of room, very clean and the staff were very friendly.

We tried out the laser zones, this was the best part for us (especially me! Dad!!).

We will all be back very soon!

Do not think you should have to pay for babies/toddlers under age2. Within the under 5's softplay area even when they can walk they still cannot gain access themselves through the roller balls or steep climbing wall with rope and adults must always be with them to allow them to enjoy any part of softplay area.

A soft play area should be "Soft" so i do not understand why there are hard toys in under 5's area eg A Wooden Rocking Horse which screws were loose and a plastic kitchen with hard plastic knifes and forks etc lying around just waiting for a child to land on?
My 1 year old child was pushed by another child into the wooden rocking horse resulting in her chin banging off the side of horse putting her teeth through her gum. The 2 female staff who i take it were supposed to be supervising this area were too busy chatting to notice this incident or the fact that the child who knocked my child over was far too old to be running about in the under 5's section!
When blood started pouring from my childs mouth i approached a member of staff to ask for some assistance to which i got the responce "aww, is she okay", then i had to ask for something to wipe away blood and i was handed blue roll off the cattering trolley and a large Mr Man ice pack? No incident report was completed, no first aid administered and no help what so ever from the member of staff! My child was very upset(crying) even when leaving past reception and still no questions were asked by staff?

Think risk assessments are required to be carried out for both the contents within the soft play areas and for the staff and their awareness and customer care!

I can't believe that some of these reviews are so bad but the people who have given them seem unable to structure a simple sentence so I'd say ignore! We have been to the Buzz several times and we think it is fantastic. We live in Edinburgh and have been to a few soft-play centres in the area, as well as the Alloa one. Although I am not discounting the others, I believe the Buzz to be the best one in the area. It is such a good size and very good value for money. Our son is 2.5 so I have never had to pay for 'extras' such as Alien Outbreak. However, we went to a birthday party here today which was very well organised and the kids loved it. It can get busy but I think this is simply futher testimony that it is a great place!
Go and see for yourselves!

ive now been to buzz about 3 times, its okay,a little over priced i think.its around £3.60 to get in and then ther is the arts n crafts room thats £1.50 then £1 for carts,so once youve paid to get in or had lunch its an expensive day.also the security isnt that great,my son managed to get out the main door where there was 3 staff who didnt noticed,i got locked on the playside and couldnt get in 2 him so he managed 2 get 2 the carpark.but its not bad he getsrtained enuf but its easy 2 lose them cos its so big.

Very disappointing place I must say! Small soft play may aswell be for older kids as younger kids struggle in it. The go-karts are very dangerous, staff should get paid danger money for them. Member of staff on them pushed my child when he tried to go in! Staff on soft play dont do much, just chat to each other. Waited an hour and a half for food. When we eventually got it, it wasn't very warm at all. Prices are ridiculous. Toilets were horrible, baby changing one bin was over-flowing. Doubt they get regularly checked. Wont't be back there anytime soon..or at all. Back to Playzar we go.

Went to the buzz yesterday with 4 under 5's and 8 adults and every single one of us had a great time. The place was very clean and staff were really friendly and helpful. Had a birthday cake with us for my son's birthday and as your not allowed to cut the cake in the main sitting area the girl at the front desk gave us use of one of the party rooms (jungle one) to cut the cake and open present, very kind and much appreciated. 2 of us had a snack which was lovely and a HUGE plate full. Will defo be back again and again! Great place to take the kids and have lunch. Can't wait to go again!

Lovely big, clean, bright soft play area. Visited with 5 kids aged 3 to 12 and all were very happy for over 2 hours. In addition to 2 large soft play areas for different age groups there are go-karts for £1 a go (takes 2 kids) and a laser zone. The 3 oldest went to laser zone and played a 1/2 hour game and had great time for £4 a pop.
We didn't eat, but will next time. The food looked great, generous portions and everything is under £5, very reasonable in comparison to other places.

Staff were very busy due to being a very wet summer holiday day, but were very friendly and pleasant with it.

Lots of staff making sure everything was kept clean. Toilets were spotless. Lots of supervising staff in play areas.
I would highly recommend it.

I would agree with the previous postings. We had our Sunday School outing at the Buzz last Saturday and it was great. We took children from 5 - 12 and they all really enjoyed it. They all loved being in the Haunted Room for their food. A lovely wee cafe for the parents too! Well done ot the owners on bringing this to our area.

Newly opened on the May weekend 2009. Absolutely amazing place! Took two children there and 4 adults. They have covered just about everything in this place, two large soft play and climbing zones, a mini sports arena, mini race track and there is 8 different themed rooms for parties. Also two sensory rooms and a messy room. The food was the best we have had at any soft play and even my husband never complained (very unusual!) The attitude of the staff was friendly and polite. This is the only place for me as a registered childminder to take the children locally now.
