The new soft play room at the leisure centre is excellent. It costs £2 per child for an hour and my 2.5 year old barely surfaced the entire hour. You can also hire it for parties at certain times on Saturday and Sunday (11-12 and 1-2 I think but not sure which way round) so avoid those times if you're going normally.

Thumbs up to the leisure centre who have started running toddler gymnastic classes (like tumble tots). This is just what we needed in Aber. Top Marks!

Went here with my 2 (aged 6 & 2) at the weekend. They adored it! The staff got a small water slide out which my 2 year old daughter loved (much to my surprise!). The changing rooms were warm (unless you were running through them in wet swim-suits hurrying to the toilets!), and there is plenty of room. There are some nice big lockers which was useful for putting all our stuff in. The staff were friendly and helpful. We brought a blow up ball and ring with us and had not problems with having them in the pool (have previously been told in other pools that we can't have them). There is a shallow learner/child pool as well as the main one so you don't have to worry about the water being too deep. It has a stepped side so it's easy to get in and out of. The water was lovely and warm. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy.

We went swimming here with our son as last time we went to clarach the changing rooms and swimming pool water were very cold, now just over 2 and found the experience must better than previously. As previous poster said the changing rooms are much warmer now and they have upgraded the playpen I think in the female changing rooms, although my husband took my son this time into male changing rooms this time as well as the changing facility.
Enjoyed visit and staff on till were extremely friendly with our son.

There is always at least 2 changing tables in the female changing room and a good play pen (there is a changing table in the mens too). We find the changing rooms warm (in comparison to clarach). Upstairs cafe serves good food (though often takes a while to be served) and they have 3 high chairs plus theres more toilets upstairs with changing table. Theres a small play area in the cafe. There is also a lift to get upstairs with a pushchair. The only problem with the swimming pool is that the time is very limited because of schools using it the majority of the time and you can't go in the changing rooms till they've come out and have to be out before they come in. Its generally welcoming to children.

In changing room of pool - both male and female rooms have a large orange plastic permanent placed changing table, bit hard but fine if you put some towels on it, no straps to hold baby in place so you need 20 hands. Room cold but fine if you are going swimming with baby. Also they provide a babyden to put baby in while you are getting ready.
