I have been visiting playworld with my young daughter ever since it opened and have always been impressed with the staff and play facilities. Now my daughter is older we have been spending longer on our visits and have taken to ordering food from the menu, i must comment that the food quality is excellent, and i have always found the service to be 2nd to none.
I am truly shocked to read the few negative comments about playworld on this page as i have heard nothing but the highest praise from the all the mums/dads that i talk to. I guess though that for every negative comment there is hundreds of very happy people that simply did not feel the need to log on and post their views.
For me though, and everyone i have spoken to... its a thumbs up and a big thank you&well done to playworld and all its lovely staff! Keep doing whatever your doing.

We live in the area, and we found Playworld to be one of the best indoor play facilities we have visited. Therefore, we recently booked a private birthday party on a Friday evening, as we had the place to ourselves, the staff could focus on our needs and the children had a wonderful time. The food was perfect, there were plenty of leather seating for the adults and a range of good quality hot drinks and food to choose from.
The staff were very attentive, quick to respond to any request and most importantly the children all had a great time and did not want to leave at the end!! Always a good sign.
My daughter expressed her pleasure and enjoyed the organised party games, they were a great sucess, she said, 'Daddy this was the best party I have had, thank you, love you!'
All in all we were very please with our experience at Playworld, Crewe.
Isn't it strange that the majority of people giving poor feed back don't like to leave there full names...!
We are very happy to recommend Playword, Crewe, although it is little more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Well done and keep up the good work!
Many thanks

I beleive that the reviews on this site are a little harsh. I attended a party recently and was so impressed with the party and the host that i booked a party straight away for my daughter this month. the food may be a little more expensive than other places but it is fresh and not all deep fried like other places in the area. also when i went the place wasn't actually that busy but instead of the staff just standing around chatting they were actually cleaning the play which i have never seen before in a playbarn and beleive me i have been to a few! i think that people need to look at this site and not beleive all of the reveiws that they read, they should go along and see for themselves what Playworld is really like, a great place for children and adults alike.

I feel it is only fair that i respond to each comment as my staff did not sign up to get a public slating on the internet and are feeling very insecure. I was working on 16th sept and the two memebrs of staff on that day are excelent and are very helpful whereever they can be. If you are thinking about visiting playworld do not be put off by these comments (we are sure the majority are planted by competitors and ex staff) please visit us and find out for yourself. fantastic when it opened and a nice change, but what a difference in the last 6 months. very UNHELPFUL staff & rude, food far too expensive (might as well go out to a posh restaurant)and had to wait too long . parking is very dangerous having to cross infront of a garage. we're all off back to Funsters, at least the staff are friendly and you are made to feel welcome. I'd like to see if you are still going in 10 years time. - from a very concerned parent

my two boys thoroughly enjoy it and were in tears to leave.
i have held my eldest childs last birthday party at Playworld and have booked again for my youngest son, and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place to any parents looking for a great, entertaining, safe venue.

Hello all, I am the owner of Playworld and i try to read all reviews and act on them to make playworld a better place. As i live and breath playworld it is sometimes hard to see the wood from the trees and your comments help. Hopefully our customers see that we try to provide the best service that we can. Some things are hard to change instantly. For example the nappy bins, we were tied into a years contract with them but the year is soon up so we have signed with a new supplier to change them twice as often. (however some customers keep putting nappies in the sanintary bins- we are not allowed to empty these and have to wait to get them emptied which causes a smell -no amount of signs will stop them)
As far as the Parties we get loads of great feedback from them and the girls running them get tips too - which indicates a good service.
Dianes sons party
At no point was she told she was having an exclusive party we never do them in the day and the staff all know that (due to the fact we do not want our customers to come to us to find us closed for an exclusive party, as this happens with other places) At time of booking she was offered to do an exclusive party but did not choose that option. It clearly states on booking forms (for which the customer is given a copy) which party they have booked. Our youngest member is 17 and the oldest on that day was 35.
Disgusted
I was not in that sunday as i was involed in a traffic accident on the saturday morning I will check out the cctv for that day and see if i can see the tables being left and the staff drinking and eating and will deal with it accordingly We have also a new cleaner started please could you call me to let me now where we could improve on our cleaning and we will sort it. As far as the food, it is cooked freshly and sometimes it is hard to get the ordering right. We have no deliveries on a sundays and we try and order little and offen to keep the food fresh and as cheap as we can. so the fact this is the reason we had no baps, sorry about that.
C
We have two area in Playworld and there is an under 5's area for the toddlers. Due to the fact that we can not stop children over the age of five playing it is best during the weekend the toddlers use the toddler area. Parents are supposed to watch their children at Playworld however if you find children unruly speak to a member of staff and they can put out an annoucement for you. The tables at the monment are a problem - they are not dirty just sticky. During the summer we revarnished then and this seems to have made them worse. I will be stripping them back and will revarnish them with a harder varnish and see if this works, failing that i will use tablecloths. As for the parties there are 1.5 hour gaps between using the rooms so i am unclear as to why people were waiting to come up. I will speak to all staff about the handling the cakes.
Jane C
I will be sorting out the tables and the nappy situation asap I will speak to the staff however i feel i have excellent staff that care about Playworld, are friendly and are happy to help, i hope they were not behind the counter swearing for that i will speak to them. I can not comment on the food just yet, we get a lot of good feedback and have qualifed chefs. If you would have come to us to say that there was a problem with your food we could have resolved it for you.
Charles Whitworth
I was working that night and at no point did someone speak to me regarding an incident. Due to the size of our business we are not required to have first aiders for the public. We are only required to give first aid to our staff. We do have a first aider that works weekends but did not stay for the late party. (Due to the fact that we are start up and had a change over of staff recently we will be retaining staff soon and i will put the first aid top of the list) We do carry ice packs and we always offer to help, i will speak to the girl that worked with me that night and see if you spoke to her. Playworld has been checked by ROSPA and was installed by professionals under ROSPA guidelines, Playworld in definately not classed as an "dangerous childrens entertainment venue" When children come to Playworld there are signs clearly stating that the children are their parents responsibility at all times.
I will continue to read and act on the comments left, i have started a comment book in Playworld so if you have one no matter how big or small please talk to us about it so we can act- we would rather sort out problems/suggestions to make Playworld a better place for all.

We were invited to bring our 3 children to Playworld for a private party. After our children had been playing for 15 minutes my youngest daugter fell and cut her forehead. We asked for a 1st aider and were told that there was not a 1st aider on site. We then asked for a 1st aid kit but the staff did not respond to our request. My wife had to go to the toilet and bathe my daughters head with cold water and toilet tissue. We were so upset by the fact that we received no help or support that we left Playworld to take our daughter home to give her the attention she needed to included sterile wipes and a bangage!! other parents that attended the party told us afterwards that the food was substandard and that several party members left early and took their children to The Elephant to order food for them as they were hungrey and just wanted to have fun!! food and fun was not on the menu at Playworld and we will not be going there again! it was the most awfull and dangerous childrens entertainment venue that we have ever been to and we will alawys avoid this place in future.

been going to playworld since it opened and it started off really nice clean, friendly and really well cooked food for wat it is. the standards have slipped since january, the tables are grimy, the place smells like dirty nappies and the staff just stand the playing with the phone, talking about how f***ing drunk they were last night and playing with their hair. paying a premium price to get in i expect clean a clean table and not to have my used plates sitting on the table for 2 hours. The only reason i carried on going to playworld was for the excellent food at a very good price but i went last week and it was dreadful, no flavor over cooked and sloppy. I had one bite and walked out. I would strongly advise to stay well clear and go to pirates paradise at least they can clean tables, show interest to customers and just about make a basic edible sandwich

My daughter was invited to a party at the weekend. It was a party for toddlers but my daughter was frightened to go and play due to all the big kids in there been rough and fooling around, if she had gone in there she would have been knocked flying. The tables were sticky and dirty, they had not been cleaned in ages. Staff completly disinterested in childrens partys, everything was to much trouble. Party food looked ok but it was all rushed. It was like a converbelt, as we come down from the party room the next party is waiting to go up. What discusted me more is the girl behind the counter that was signing people in, making coffee and taking money for goods brought was asked by a gentleman infront of me for a slice of cake and she picked it up were her dirty hands and slapped it on a plate, if that was me i would have left it. We looked at holding a party here a while ago but after reading the negative reviews from this site i can see why.

I visited playworld for lunch on sunday, with 3 kids. when i pay premium prices, i expect premium quality and service. the kids food was ok, i ordered a breakfast bap, no baps available. when i recieved the sandwich the bacon was not freshly cooked. it looked like it been sitting under lights for hours as it was dry and crispy. we had to move tables an hour later as the tables had not been cleared (when we left 1.5 hours later they still had not been cleared) it was not busy, 3 blonde girls behind the counter were just standing around drinking slush puppies and eating the cookies. the only person who looked like they were working was the young lad - he had no help.
very disappointed the place looked dirty with a build up of grime (not just this weeks dirt) the standards have slipped since the begining of the year

I had my son's 5th birthday at Playworld. I have been on many occasions and thought I had found a great place.
I was told I had an exclusive party, which did not happen. I was told that the party would be downstairs and it was upstairs.
The staff range in age from 15 - 20 in my opinion, they know little about customer service and do not know how to deal with children.
No urgency, nothing to endear me to ever have another party there.

The fire regulation comments seem silly as I saw 6 fire exits. I go every week! :-)

Car park was really bad, but inside play area great, lots of seating area, under 5 section brill. The only other downside apart from the car park was a lady who thought she was hitler on the tannoy, They are kids but when she kept getting on it the music stops and everyone I was with was so embarrased. I understand the safety aspects but I dont think she had kids cause there are ways and means of saying it but she was harsh

I took my 2 children to Playworld a few weeks ago and thought it was really good value. People are complaining it's to expensive but a couple of hours for £4.25 is pretty good and where can you take children to have a good time for that!
We had no pressure to leave and also ate there although the food wasn't anything special but that's what I expected.

Not impressed. Brought our two sons (1.5 years) for some play time and lunch on a Saturday and was stunned by rediciously expensive prices. The play area itself was ok, but could have done with some more appropriate facilities for the ones between 1-2.5 yrs. The communication between staff and kitchen was bad bad bad. Normal waiting time for soup was 20-30 min...fair enough on a busy day, but after asking three times to various people, much over an hour later, the rest of the party had finished their meals and the boys where restless, so we had to go. The girl on the counter was nice enough to give me the money back for the soup after explaining the situation. Apparantly they had anounced a "missing" soup three times over the calling system. I'm not deaf, neither is my partner, but we coudn't hear or understand what was announced b/c of the ecco and screaming children.
The play barn in my opinion is much better value for money, service etc. Will not go back to play world. =(

I think Playworld is AMAZING!!! The staff are wonderful, very friendly and extreamly helpful! It is incredibly clean and the food is very good, (me and my children love the nacho's to share!!) the wide range of food is also a huge plus point (its not fried and greasy - like many other soft play establishments!)
I attend the toddler sessions with my daughter on a friday and monday morning and I have been really impressed with the staff, especially when they set up the activity tables !
My sons birthday party was fantastic, (a pizza making party) all the children thoroughly enjoyed it and it was very well organised, the party menu is great and there is something for all ages!
I think the price of entry to playworld, whether it be the toddler session price or the normal price, reflects the quality of the establishment,if you want a clean play area (and lets face it, most are not!) friendly staff, great food, fantastic party menus, and wonderful facilities then playworld is the placet to go!
