We went for a walk around Avebury this weekend which my son loves, especially running up and down the ditches! He spent ages in the museum adding to a paper mache monolith and doing rubbings and playing with the exhibits. The volunteers are very attentive and do a great job.
There are plenty of tables to rest at while you recharge your batteries for the next session of running around! Plenty of toilets.

World-famous stone circle at the heart of a prehistoric landscape. Archaeological finds displayed in on-site museum
One of Europe's largest prehistoric stone circles.
Fantastic landscape of monuments to walk within, better than stone henge as you can actually walk alongside, touch, sit on the stones. Kids can run around and let off steam. If your children are interested in history nearby is also Silbury Hill and West Kennett long barrow are also close by.
Museum Galleries tell the story of the stone circle and the people who shaped it, through archaeology and modern interactives
Discover more about the charismatic millionaire Alexander Keiller's extraordinary life and lifetime passion for archaeology.
They have seasonal events for families and children. We live nearby and visit quite regularly but visited during Summer Solstace where lots of activities were taking place.
In Avebury there is a pub, shops, restaurant and toilet and baby changing facilities.
