It is frequently reported that family mealtimes, in which the family sits around the dinner table together, are beneficial to your child's development in many ways. It is important for your child to feel part of the family group during meals. But what do you do when they have outgrown their highchair but are too small to sit on an adult seat? This is where boosters seats are invaluable, such as the BabyBjörn Booster Chair.
The BabyBjörn Booster Chair is very well constructed. The seat feels solid and would stand up to considerable abuse. That's not to say it's heavy, at 1.2kg it's light and easily portable. The seat has clearly been carefully designed. Attaching it to a chair is very straightforward, simply clip the strap underneath the chair and twist the dial to tighten the strap, much easier than having to mess around with tightening and loosening buckles. When you remove the seat, just unclip it, join the clips together and take up the slack with the dial.
I found by far the most innovative thing about the seat was the aforementioned dial. All the booster seats I've used in the past have involved adjusting buckles which I'm always nervous will come loose. Not so with the BabyBjörn Booster Chair, turning the dial tightens the straps very decisively, leaving no doubt that they're not going to work loose.
Patrick and Ella, four year old twins, were keen to put the chair through it's paces. Their findings were favourable, both said it was comfortable and didn't feel like they would slide off, so a big thumbs up from them!
Overall, I was very impressed with the chair. My only negative comment would be that it is rather on the pricey side, particularly when you consider the price of competing products.
The BabyBjörn Booster Chair is available in white and is suitable of children aged 3 and upwards.
