Sticky Mitts is a Junior Cookery Course which youngsters from
seven upwards can follow at home. It comes by post in monthly
or termly instalments and includes fun activities, recipe cards,
competitions, games and nutrition facts. Sticky Mitts is the
only structured home cookery course for children in the UK,
giving parents the necessary support to confidently pass on
knowledge in a fun, engaging way with minimum impact on precious time.
The Sticky Mitts recipes have been written by an experienced,
qualified chef (and mum) in a much more detailed way than recipe
books offer, with lots of step by step photos, so that the children
can read and understand the recipes by themselves.
Starting with understanding hygiene and safety in the kitchen, ultimately, the course teaches children to appreciate and cook healthy, interesting and exciting cuisine. Through step by step recipes, fun activities and key educational food facts designed to maintain the child's interest; the course helps improve the children's attitude and knowledge of eating well encouraging children to make sensible, balanced choices regarding their diet from an early age.
